I always start any project by taking notes and creating Moodboard. This helps me to get a feel for the space or visual I’m hoping to create as well as document any textures, tones or elements I want to include.
Then I move into photoshop to create rough mock up of my idea, from the Moodboard and initial sketches I’ve done. This mock up allows me to place all my desired elements and test out different layouts quickly and effectively.
Next up, for this project, I wanted to experiment with AI. I fed my mock up image to the software and asked it to create a cohesive image with natural lighting whilst also iterating what the image was depicting. From here I then took the render and went back to photoshop to add in the branding elements as well refining the colours and textures within the image until I was happy. I understand the use of AI in the art and design world can be a controversial topic, having been taught how to use it ethically and proactively within my degree studies I feel that as long as it’s being used to enhance an original idea rather than create one from scratch then it’s ok but of course it is not perfect.
